Tips for Success

Come to class prepared with paper, pencils, and completed assignments. Be ready to learn. Pay close attention in class and take careful notes. New concepts are covered on a daily basis. Be diligent to consistently do the assignments as they are assigned. This will give you the practice you need to master the new concepts. Expect to spend some time at home finishing assignments. Don't make the mistake of thinking you can learn without any effort.

Do not be absent from class. Although it is sometimes necessary to be away from school, when you are absent from math class you most certainly will miss one or more concepts. Even if you miss just one day this will effect your skills overall because each day's lesson builds upon concepts from previous days.

Don't leave class without understanding how to do your homework. If you don't understand a concept in class ask me to explain. If you still need some help come in right after school. I can usually explain it and send you on your way in a few minutes.

Take advantage of math tutoring. I will be available after school on certain days if you let me know you need help.
